Prof. Małgorzata Franczak

O Prelegencie:

Dr.Franczak is a fellowship-trained, board-certified Neurologist with certification in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry. She is a Professor of Neurology and Director of the Memory Disorders Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). She is also Director of the Neurodegenerative Translational Research Program (NTRP) at MCW. NTRP was established in early 2018 and is focused on the investigation of early biomarkers of neurodegenerative conditions. Her research interests are the brain-behavior relationships in middle-aged and geriatric populations with at-risk, preclinical, and prodromal neurodegenerative conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease.  Currently she is the  Principal Investigator on 6 industry sponsored clinical trials for prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease and have been collaborating on several federally funded projects with scientists in the Departments of Radiology and Microbiology. She has widely published in the areas of neurodegenerative disorders.
