
Prof. Katarzyna J. Litak
Dr. Katarzyna J. Litak, MD, FASAM, is currently serving as Assistant Professor at the Medical School and Medical Director of Inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Addiction Services at M Health Fairview since July 2022, Dr. Litak brings a wealth of expertise to her role and demonstrates commitment to providing comprehensive mental health and addiction services.
Prior to her current position, Dr. Litak held key roles at institutions, including serving as a Staff Psychiatrist at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation Center for Youth and Family and as a Senior Associate Psychiatrist at Hennepin County Mental Health Center.
Dr. Litak is board-certified in Addiction Medicine, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Adult Psychiatry by prestigious organizations such as the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Addiction Medicine.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Litak is actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry,and the American Academy of Addiction Medicine. She is also a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American Medical Association.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Litak is deeply engaged in her community, serving as the President of the Minnesota Polish Medical Society, making a positive impact both in and out of the clinical setting. Dr. Katarzyna J. Litak continues to be a respected leader in the field of psychiatry, helping individuals navigate their mental health and addiction challenges with empathy and expertise.
